The Barreirinha complex, located at the end of the old part of the town, offers good conditions to its visitors and the water quality is certified by the ‘Blue Flag’. The complex is watched over by one lifeguard.
Apart from a swimming pool for children and sea access, the Barreirinha also provides changing rooms, lockers, parasols, sun beds, a snack bar, a medical centre and a car park.
Overlooking the pier and located next to the São Tiago Fortress, this is always a nice option for those wanting to go for a quick dive close by, especially during the week as weekends do tend to get overcrowded on this bathing complex. |
