The Galo beach is part of the first tourism complex in the Caniço area. Amongst its many attractions you can appreciate the panorama elevator with which you have to go down, the seawater swimming pool, which is replenished daily, the diving base (Manta Diving Centre) and sea access for all those who prefer swimming in the Ocean.
This is a very pleasant place to be for swimming and sun bathing that, although located in a windy area, is well protected by the surrounding cliffs.
With a bar service, games facilities, a children’s swimming pool, changing rooms, a lifeguard service, a medical centre and the ‘Blue Flag’, the only criticism of the Galo beach seems to be the meagre parking facilities. On more crowded days, it is most likely that you will have to drive around for some time searching for a place to park.
Apart from the above facilities, this resort also offers a very nice fish restaurant, a boutique, a mini-market, some shops and a terrace café where you can finish off your beach day with a cold drink whilst watching the sun go down. |
