The Lido swimming pool complex is probably the most popular bathing area in Funchal and one of the best on Madeira Island. Besides a large and a small seawater pool, freshly filled every day, it also has direct sea access for those who prefer the feel of the ocean for a swim.
This bathing complex, a favourite with the locals as well as the tourists, offers sun beds, parasols, changing rooms, lockers, kindergarten, table tennis, diving centre, water slide, beachwear shop, baby care room, restaurant, three snack bars, tourist information centre, first aid centre, lifeguards and a car park… An endless number of facilities!
The pools of this complex received the 'Blue Flag’ award that certifies the good water quality.
The Lido area is the most famous zone of Funchal and offers lots of services like banks, hotels, restaurants, snack bars, pubs, cafés and shops.
