As the name implies, Ponta do Sol (sun point) has lots of sunshine and a small but very nice pebbled beach. Famous for its weather conditions all year round this place delights tourists and locals with its warm water and friendly people, always happy to see you!
The changing rooms are okay but there could be a few more. We can however assure you that you are not likely to find such a calm beach anywhere else on the south coast.
This beach has a restaurant and bars, showers, toilets and is very close to other restaurants and bars in the village.
Parking in the area is not a problem at all. There is also a paid park at the village. The beach of Ponta do Sol is definitively a good choice for all those who prefer peace and quiet!
