Ponta do Sol

As the name implies, Ponta do Sol (sun point) has lots of sunshine and a small but very nice beach. Famous for its weather conditions all year round this place delights tourists and locals with its warm water and friendly people, always happy to see you!

The pebbled beach, although it doesn’t have the '‘Blue Flag’', has always test results confirming a good quality of the water. The Town Hall makes those tests twice a week!

The changing rooms are okay but there could be a few more. We can however assure you that you are not likely to find such a calm beach anywhere else on the south coast.

Parking in the area is not a problem at all. The beach of Ponta do Sol is definitively a good choice for all those who prefer peace and quiet!
