Fontinha beach is probably the one that people from Madeira love the most. Both locals and tourists look for this beach on the so-called ‘golden island’.
It is 720 meters long, starts at the Cais Velho (Old Quay) and ends near the hotel Torre Praia, bordering on the Black Stones beach. The Fontinha offers – like almost every beach on Porto Santo – unique natural conditions. The fine sand, the clean, calm and tepid waters (this beach was awarded with the ‘Blue Flag’), the long sunshine hours and its natural beauty are just some of the strong points of this beach.
Other facilities offered are changing rooms, lockers, parasols, sun beds, first aid centre, a restaurant and car park. Nearby you will also find a camping site. |
