Praia das Palmeiras

This beach, located in Santa Cruz, is really crowded in the summer. If you have children looking for fun, then this is the perfect choice! Especially addressing the younger visitors, this beach offers free plastic toys for the kids. A treasure island with a ‘real’ dragon and a climbing area (worthy of true alpinists) guarantee solid entertainment for a few hours. Whilst the kids are having fun under the watchful eye of the lifeguards, you can relax and bathe in the sun.

This beach is divided into two areas: the swimming pool area, open between 09.00 and 19.00 h, and the pebbled beach, open at any time. Here you can enjoy yourself with a ride on a pedal boat or walks along the promenade.

Palmeiras beach also provides a first aid centre and a restaurant service area.
