| As it was tradition at the time, this chapel was built by someone who had escaped an attack and imagined that his rescue was due to the influence of the souls in the purgatory (Almas Pobres). Dug in the rocks, the fronton of this peculiar chapel is decorated with a small panel of glazed tiles with the initials PNAM (Padre Nosso Avé Maria), also known as the alminhas (little souls). |
