Igreja do Carmo
This church, that gave name to the street where it is located, was built in the middle of the 17th century. At the sidewalls of the chancel there are two wonderful mausoleums, the only ones with artistic value on the island. Some pieces of sacred jewellery from the 17th and 18th century can be seen inside.
