Francisco Lufinha, a Portuguese athlete, beat the world record for the 'Longest Non-Stop Kitesurf Journey' by crossing from Lisbon to Machico, in Madeira, surpassing the previous achievement of 564 kilometres.

The MINI Kitesurf Odyssey 2015 lasted for over 45 hours and covered around 800 kilometres in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Francisco Lufinha was the first athlete to take up this kitesurf challenge.
