The famous Christmas illuminations that attract so many tourists to Madeira have already started to be set up all over the island.
In the city of Funchal there are several main and secondary streets that already have several sets of lights and frames mounted on the various public lighting poles, which at night produce the enchanting effects that give colour and life to this festive season much awaited throughout the year. As it's known, this Christmas season is lived with much intensity a little everywhere, but especially in this island, making these festivities, one of the main tourist attractions of this region, which includes precisely, the Madeira New Year's Eve Party with the award winning Fireworks.
Today, in one of the main streams that lead down to Madeira's capital, the Ribeira de São João, we could already see the frames assembled in the shape of giant balls that will shine at night, to which will be added the thousands of other illuminations that traditionally light up together, from the 1st of December, embellishing all the cut and orography of the island, making it a unique visual spectacle, truly worthy to be contemplated by all.
