For the ninth consecutive time, Madeira Island secures its title as the 'World's Leading Island Destination 2023' at the 'World Travel Awards.' Once again, the stunning announcement took place at the prestigious Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in Dubai during the 30th edition of the WTA's global awards ceremony.

Eduardo Jesus, the Regional Secretary of Tourism and Culture and president of the Madeira Promotion Association, highlights that this award, continuously received by Madeira since 2015, "reaffirms the acknowledgment of concerted efforts across the sector to establish the region as an exceptional destination. With its unparalleled natural beauty, rich culture, diverse experiences, and unique identity, Madeira consistently captivates visitors worldwide throughout the year."

Madeira, victorious in 2015 through 2022, has outshined renowned tourist spots for the ninth consecutive year.
