Madeira Island has received several nominations for this year's edition of the 'Publituris Portugal Travel Awards 2023,' the main national tourism awards.
The 'Publituris' newspaper organises the 'Portugal Travel Awards' every year, which aims to reward the best hotel units in the country, and in this year's 18th edition, several hotels and hotel groups from Madeira Island are nominated.
In the category "The Best Five Star Hotels", there are a total of nine nominees, and 'The Cliff Bay' hotel, in Funchal, is among the best. Casa de São Lourenço, Conrad Algarve, InterContinental Porto - Palácio das Cardosas, Montebelo Vista Alegre, Palácio Ludovice Wine Experience Hotel, Pedras do Mar, Quinta da Comporta and W Algarve are the other nominees in this category of excellence.
In the category "Best Hotel Chain", the Pérola do Atlântico has three nominations from Madeira hotel chains. 'Casa de São Lourenço', 'Pestana Hotel Group' and 'PortoBay Hotels & Resorts', are thus positioned to win the award.
This year's edition of the Publituris Portugal Travel Awards has a total of 174 nominees, competing in 22 categories. The winners will be announced on July 6, 2023, at 19:00 in Alcobaça at the Montebelo Mosteiro de Alcobaça Historic Hotel.
We recall that the 'Publituris' newspaper is a fortnightly publication that "strongly bets on professional and independent economic information for professionals of the Tourism industry", being a reference in this sector of economic activity in particular.
