The Ultra Skyrunning Madeira (USM) will gather, between today and tomorrow, more than 800 athletes from 30 different nationalities.
The race starts today, Friday, June 16, 2023, and runs until tomorrow in an edition that has grown by around 30% compared to last year.
The high demand of the race, which takes place in the municipality of Santana, north of Madeira Island, is pointed out by the participants as one of the attractive factors, which mobilizes every year many athletes who want to take part in it.
The natural beauty of the island is another aspect that makes this race one of the most important of the European circuit of the specialty.
