• NEW Madeira Webcams

Did you know that Madeira-web has approximately 29 amazing cameras spread across the island that you can view LIVE 24/7?

Discover the latest additions to our webcam collection! We launched the CR7 Museum Cam on Avenida do Mar in Funchal in February 2024, just in time for Carnival and cruise ship activities. The most recent additions, which were introduced in late 2023, are Fort/Lido Gardens cam in the bustling hotel zone and Praia Formosa in Funchal, where you can immerse yourself in the picturesque beauty and captivating coastal charm while watching the sun set over the horizon.

Madeira-web, in collaboration with Webcamtaxi, is pleased to present its numerous live webcams in various tourist areas around the island, beginning in Funchal and moving east towards Machico, Caniçal, to the north, Porto da Cruz, Santana (Quinta do Furão), Ponta Delgada, Porto Moniz, and then south towards Paul do Mar, Calheta, Madalena do Mar, and Câmara de Lobos on the beautiful Portuguese island of Madeira.

Our first cameras were installed in various areas of Funchal's city centre, with the first being installed in 1999. The Funchal Marina LiveCam was installed in our founder's apartment facing the Funchal Harbour and Marina, using an old Sony Video Camera with home-made software that uploaded a new image every 30 seconds.
We have since upgraded to higher quality and added more new cameras, such as the Funchal Marina Cam 2, the Ritz Madeira webcam, which looks out over Avenida Arriaga and the Municipal Gardens, and the Funchal City – São Roque webcam, which is positioned up on the hills of São Roque and offers views to the east, west, and Funchal bay. Along with the Av. do Mar Crosswalk Live Cam, which looks over the zebra crossing and traffic, and the Hotel Penha França Mar camera, which faces the pool area and Madeira's most prestigious resorts.

The Câmara de Lobos Cruz da Caldeira Cam was added in June 2021, providing live panoramic views of Câmara de Lobos and the island's south-east coast.

The city of Machico, located on the island's southeastern coast, has two cameras: one in HD streaming in the Port of Machico facing the emblematic Machico Bay, and an older cam located at the Forum Machico showing the oceanfront and promenade. Both livecams provide spectacular views of the bay and its surroundings.

The live webcam stream on Madeira’s north coast Ponta Delgada in the district of São Vicente is located on the clifftop of Hotel Monte Mar Palace, overlooking the ocean, the verdant mountains and waterfall cascades along São Vicente, and in the distance you may see the impressive village of Seixal and the world-renown Porto Moniz.

With Porto Moniz being one of the most popular tourist destinations, we have added two live webcams: one showing views of the ocean to the east, the spectacular rock formations of Ribeira da Janela, and the parish, and the second showing a live fixed view over the famous Natural Lava Pools.

The camera feed in Caniçal, on the island's southeastern coast, in the municipality of Machico, is mounted on the rooftop of the Whale Museum, overlooking Praia Ribeira de Natal beach, the Commercial Port, and Ponta de São Lourenço. Moving to the northeast, we have added two wonderful tourist live webcams in Porto da Cruz: Alagoa Beach and the swimming pools.

Our high-definition webcam in Madalena do Mar, a popular place for paragliding, shows beautiful views of the ocean and banana plantations. The most famous surfing spot in Fajã da Ovelha, Paul do Mar, also has a webcam where you can view the current swell and weather conditions for surfing.

In the Municipality of Calheta, there is a live cam showing the southwest of the island, from the top of the cliff's dramatic modern building (MUDAS) - Contemporary Art Museum (Museu de Arte Contemporânea) with views over the village of Calheta, the Marina, and its golden sand beach.

Our first "Rolling Cam Madeira" is a live cam multistream of diverse perspectives from around the island, featuring 13 of our webcams that change location and scenery every 15 seconds, accompanied by soothing music.

While the most recent live cams were added to the lovely northeast coast, Santana Quinta do Furão, and in the south, Funchal, the popular tourist Lido beach complex, Ponta Gorda, Barreirinha beach, and Doca do Cavacas, including Praia dos Reis Magos beach at Caniço de Baixo.

All of our webcams provide privileged views of the Atlantic Ocean as well as live events and tourist attractions.

Don't miss out on special events that may be broadcast live on some of these streams, such as the Flower Festival and Carnival parades, or the New Year's Eve fireworks display, which this year will be spread across many new areas, including Praia Formosa and Lido. Also in June, during the four-day Atlantic Festival fireworks competition, and on June 28th, during the Saint Peter (São Pedro) Festival in Câmara de Lobos.

We hope you enjoy and share our wonderful HD-quality live cams of Madeira, the world's top island destination.
