Caniçal's public swimming pool opened in 2003 and comprises two seawater pools, one for adults and one for children, and two sea accesses. This small but attractive swimming pool complex, with paid access, provides a snack bar with a roof terrace offering beautiful views, changing rooms, solarium, sun beds and sunshades.
Beach-lovers should definitely visit Ribeira de Natal: with a long promenade and great support facilities, this public beach offers crystal clear waters, lifeguard surveillance during the summer, parking, showers, WC, a snack bar and a nice walk by the sea towards the Whale Museum and Caniçal centre.
