Live Cam Madalena do Mar

This live HD streaming webcam shows views over the beautiful parish of Madalena do Mar, nestled amongst the banana plantations on the southwest coast of the Island of Madeira, Portugal.
Our high-definition camera mounted at the Bar La Fronteira, sitio dos Moledos, in Ponta do Sol also displays beautiful views of the mountains to the wind turbines of Paul da Serra, the Atlantic ocean and the extensive pebble beach of Madalena do Mar.
Much of the land along the cliffs of Madalena do Mar are occupied by terraced fields of lush green banana trees. The primary activity here is the cultivation of bananas, where they are harvested all year round, even during the winter months. Other crops such as mangos and avocados are also grown here.
Every year in July a traditional Banana Exhibit is celebrated here. There is also a Banana plantation tour 'Rota da Banana', where visitors of all ages can enjoy an easy and fun circular walk along the banana fields while enjoying scenic views.
