Live from Paul do Mar, this high-definition webcam perched on a cliff at Fajã da Ovelha "O Precipício" in the municipality of Calheta, displays stunning panoramic views over the Atlantic ocean and the picturesque fishing village of Paul do Mar on the south-western coast of the island of Madeira, Portugal.
Paul do Mar is considered to be the hottest point on the island, it has a beautiful extensive pebble beach known to be one of the best spots for surfing. On this beach there are two popular places for swimming, Ribeira das Galinhas and Porto de Abrigo, as you can see in the close-up shots.
The picturesque port is where the popular Limpet festival (Festa da Lapa) is held every year in July, bringing you plenty of entertainment and fresh limpets and beer.
The HD Cam stream provided by madeira-web.com in partnership with the Restaurant O Precipício at Fajã da Ovelha, also shows the incredible winding road (ER 223), close-ups of the popular beach, Maktub Pub and the fishing harbour.
