Funchal’s Aleste Musical Festival will take place on 26th May at Complexo Balnear da Ponta Gorda, Funchal. The festival starts at 16:00 and the party is set to continue to 02:00.
Although a relatively new event, this beach party is emerging as a very popular musical event aimed at discovering and promoting Portuguese and international artists, and this year is no exception with musical genres crossing techo, jazz, and post-rock.
Confirmed artists include Surma, who is regarded as one of the most ‘refreshing musicians on today’s national arena,’ Bruno Pernadas, who is currently one of the biggest names in Brazilian music. The American Trio, Bitchin Bajas whose cool use of synthesizers and textured orchestration create a harmonious balance between organic and digital styles and the Celeste/Mariposa Project whose aim is to blend the musical styles that make up the African language.
With tickets costing €20.00 who can afford to miss the best beach party of the year?
