It's already next Thursday, June 1st that the 'III edition of Arraial das Casas do Povo` starts, right in the city centre of Madeira's capital, Funchal.
This is an event that takes place by the seaside, at "Cais 8" until next Sunday, and that "aims to promote and preserve the activities of the territories and their gastronomic, handicraft and cultural products, providing the population with moments of conviviality and leisure".
According to the Association of the Casas do Povo (ACAPORAMA), this event "functions as a party that disseminates local traditions, its gastronomic and handicraft products", and in this way, "encourages the civic participation of the entire population".
On the other hand, this event also gives the members of ACAPORAMA, "an opportunity to raise funds for the progress of their activity and support in operating costs".
The first edition took place in 2019, and "has an expressive participation of the Casas do Povo in the region".
