Atlantic Roots Festival June 15 to 17, 2023

The 'Festival Raízes do Atlântico' is the main event exclusively dedicated to "World Music" that has been held on Madeira Island for 22 editions.

The shows of this year's edition will start next Thursday, June 15th, 2023, and will continue until next Saturday at Praça do Povo, in Funchal's city centre, an ample seafront venue that allows you to contemplate the nature of the Pearl of the Atlantic with the several musical moments reserved for this event.

The event is organised by the Regional Secretariat of Tourism and Culture, which has scheduled a total of six concerts for the three days of the festival.

'Senza' and 'Fogo Fogo' are the great novelties of the festival. Sensa' will open the programme after the performance of the Madeirans, 'C'azoada'. On the second day of the event, Lidiane Duaibilibi and Balaia Brasil will take the stage at 20:30. And finally, to close the festival, the performances of 'Fennel Shore` and 'Petra Gomes` will give way to the Cape Verdean, 'Lura'.
