Madeira Fireworks Show by Boat 2023

Looking for a unique experience in Madeira? Why not charter a boat to enjoy the island’s dazzling fireworks shows?
Twice a year, in December and June (Madeira Atlantic Festival firework show), the skies above Funchal are illuminated in a riot of colour.

The New Year’s Eve celebrations on the island are internationally renowned – Madeira holds the Guinness World Record for the largest fireworks display, while the Atlantic Festival combines music and cultural events with an exciting international fireworks competition every Saturday night in June.

Come aboard one of these boats and head out on the sea for the best view of these dazzling light shows. A number of sailing boats, replica caravels (including Madeira’s Pirate Boat) and catamarans are available for hire during these celebrations, allowing visitors to encounter the island in a new way and watch the amazing pyrotechnics show over Funchal bay.
