Funchal City Hall hosts a special New Year's Eve party in Santa Catarina Park in Funchal city centre, which can be seen on our Funchal Marina LiveCam2.
The entrance to the party in the largest municipal park will be free, precisely to invite all those who seek to enter the New Year with a lot of animation, having as protagonists, the musician and singer from Madeira, Miguel Pires, Galáxia, Sandra & Ricardo and Buzico, with DJ Sérgio Soares in between, promising to entertain the public on the night of 31st to 1st January. The mayor of the municipality, Pedro Calado, said that in the enclosure there will be a tent representing all the parish councils of Madeira's capital, whose proceeds from the sale of products that will be on sale, will revert to the municipality's social causes.
The event begins at 20:00 on December 31st with Buzico and Duo of 2, followed by the duo Sandra & Ricardo at 21:30, Vasco Freitas and Galáxia at 22:30, DJ Sérgio Soares leading the New Year countdown, and at 00:15 concert by Miguel Pires (We Love Portugal), who will then hand over to DJ Sérgio Soares to close the event at 3 a.m. on January 1, 2024.
