• House prices in Madeira

House prices in the Autonomous Region of Madeira showed an increase of 0.6% in October compared to the previous month. According to the Idealist price index, buying a house in Madeira had a cost of 2,296 euros per square meter (euros/m2) at the end of October, taking into account the median value. As for the quarterly variation, the rise was 4.4% and the annual increase 23%.

The most expensive municipality to buy a house is Funchal (2,583 euros/m2), followed by Calheta (2,246 euros/m2), Câmara de Lobos (1,894 euros/m2) and Ribeira Brava (1,797 euros/m2). In contrast, the most economical are Santana (1,149 euros/m2), São Vicente (1,242 euros/m2), Machico (1,380 euros/m2), Santa Cruz (1,494 euros/m2) and Ponta do Sol (1,624 euros/m2). The houses in Porto Santo rose 4.4% during the same period, fixing the price of the square meter at 1,607 euros/m2.

Nationally, housing registered an increase of 1.1% in October, standing at 2,414 euros/m2.
