With squash becoming increasingly popular on the island, Squash Voyage will be hosting a ‘Squash Camp’ at the Galo Resort - Hotel Galosol in Caniço de Baixo from the 25th to the 29th of September 2019.
The Squash Camp, which follows the Madeira International Squash Open (19th to the 23rd), aims to attract between twenty and thirty international players of all levels aged 25 -75, who will be learning under the eagle eye of Filip Madaric, Head Coach of Elite Squash Torquay and member of the Croatian national team. By creating and hosting such an event in Madeira, the organisers hope to provide players the opportunity to improve their game as well as attract more and more people to the game through the creation of an event that is both instructional and entertaining. In addition, the players will be filmed throughout the five days, allowing them to not only have a memento of their time in Madeira but as a way of identifying how the instruction has redefined and consolidated their game.
The five-day course is divided into group sessions, end of week private lessons, dinners in various restaurants and sightseeing opportunities, as well as that all-important Squash Camp Tournament, held on Sunday the 29th. Madeira is just one of the many international destinations that Squash Voyage host their international squash camps, other cities include Zürich, Munich, Barcelona and even a Cruise in the Caribbean is planned. The Squash Voyage website also shows international squash camps which are hosted by other academies in more countries like Thailand, USA and Norway.
