The Dutch airline 'Transavia', is promoting sales of its winter programme, which presents as a novelty, a new route between the city of Lyon and the capital of Madeira Island, Funchal, via the city of Porto.
The Dutch low cost airline - low cost subsidiary of the Air France group - recently announced its winter programme, which will have 17 routes available between Portugal, France and the Netherlands, with fares starting at 27 euros (one way).
According to the airline itself, the company "has started sales of the 2023/2024 winter programme (from October 29 to March 30), with a new route in the Portuguese market: Lyon - Funchal via Porto".
In a press release, Transavia made it known that they are "always attentive to the expectations of our leisure and business customers, especially on flights to/from Portugal" as this is "one of our strategic markets", they admit. The company adds that it is "pleased to offer several options" to its customers, so that they "can plan ahead their winter travels - now, to even more destinations". All in all, Transavia promises to offer "additional travel options next winter" through the 17 routes between Portugal, France and the Netherlands, assures Nicolas Hénin, Chief Commercial Officer of Transavia France, who signs the statement.
Still this year, the company expects to receive its first Airbus A320neo, a new aircraft which reduces CO2 emissions by 15%, an aircraft which will join a fleet of 115 aircraft, all operating next winter, continuing its expansion in Europe and in the Mediterranean basin, including to/from Portugal and the Pearl of the Atlantic, the island of Madeira.
