Machico will have new viewpoint 'Miradouro do Paraíso'

A new viewpoint is emerging in the area of Paraíso, in Machico, which promises to be the latest tourist attraction of this municipality on the east side of Madeira Island.

The new 'Miradouro do Paraíso' is already under construction, and it will certainly become a new must-see tourist spot for anyone visiting the Island, with a privileged view of the entire municipality of Machico.

The construction of the new viewpoint is the result of a requalification of the Levada da Rocha path, which aims to support local farmers, and due to its excellent location, precisely in the ´Paraíso` area, the Parish Council of Machico, responsible for the project, chose to create a new attraction in the municipality by offering a splendid viewpoint with a magnificent view over the entire area.

The construction is expected to be completed next October at a cost of 127 thousand euros and is being co-financed by the Rural Development Programme of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, which covers approximately 80% of the expenses, while the remaining amount is being supported by the Parish Council of Machico.
