The Madeira Classical Orchestra will perform a special concert at the Madeira Congress Centre (Centro de Congressos da Madeira) in Funchal on October 21st at 18:00 to commemorate the legendary Maria Callas's 100th birthday. This event pays tribute to a remarkable artist whose influence in the world of opera remains unparalleled.
Maria Callas, a legendary soprano born in New York City in 1923, was a legendary figure in the world of opera. She was renowned for her exceptional vocal range and deep emotional connection to her roles, making her one of opera's greatest sopranos. Callas' memorable performances in operas like "Norma," "La Traviata," and "Carmen" were marked by her ability to convey complex emotions through both her singing and acting.
