GIROBUS will make Madeira's public transport easier

The new application 'GIROBUS' is already working and promises to make life easier for those who use public transport on Madeira Island.

The new application GIROBUS, developed by Nearsoft, aims to replace the existing 'HF BUS', which is still running, and will be available for free for mobile phones with IOS and Android systems.

Horários do Funchal, the public transportation company, promises that with this new application, passengers will be able to plan their trips more easily and choose the best route that meets their objectives at a given time. Passengers will also be able to create alerts for the routes they use the most in order to stay informed of any changes that may occur, as well as alerts for the arrival of buses they wish to catch, thus avoiding unpleasant and unnecessary waiting times from now on.

During the next three months, the application will operate in a trial version so that it can incorporate the necessary updates, with the goal of achieving the best possible performance in its final version.
