The Port of Funchal received this morning, for the first time, the ship 'Norwegian Getaway', which on board carries nearly 5,500 people, 3,834 passengers, and the remaining crew.
The cruise ship, which arrived from Ponta Delgada, Azores, departs this afternoon at 17:00 hours for the country's capital, Lisbon.
The transatlantic liner is carrying out a 12-night cruise, departing from Port Canaveral, Florida, with stops in Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, having recently passed by the Azores Islands, and is currently in Madeira.
After its arrival in Lisbon, scheduled for June 15, the liner then starts a new cruise, this time for just nine nights, with already scheduled stopovers in Italy, France, and Spain.
