After November broke the record for the number of port calls, December is expected to be equally busy in terms of ships passing through. Today's three port calls will again bring thousands of tourists to the city of Funchal, who, already in the Christmas spirit, will have the opportunity to taste the season's traditional delicacies at the Christmas Market. Remember that this market is considered one of the best of its kind in the whole country, and opened this week to the public. Tourists will also be able to have fun at the Amusement Park, which also debuted its opening with a series of equipment that will certainly delight the youngest, but also the less young. And for those who still stay after the sun goes down, they'll be able to contemplate the fantastic spectacle of seeing the whole island illuminated with more than one million and five hundred thousand bulbs which were lit on December 1st (until January 7th) to give colour and life to Christmas in Madeira Island.
