The Madeira Sports Club will host the eagerly anticipated Rally Madeira Legend event from October 26 to 28, 2023. This exceptional event promises a captivating journey through time as it showcases historical, spirit, and legend-show vehicles that have left an indelible mark on the automotive world.
The rally serves as a testament to a renewed dedication to the world of automotive events. It proudly showcases vehicles that once enthralled audiences and motorsport aficionados during their initial participation in the European Championship as part of the iconic 'Rali Vinho da Madeira'.
This year's Rally Madeira Legend will travel to every corner of the island. It begins in Funchal, passing through Santa Cruz, Ponta do Sol, Porto Moniz, and Calheta. On the second day, it heads to Machico, Santana, São Vicente, and Ribeira Brava, passing through some of the most historic stages in regional motorsport.
On the 26th, technical inspections will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Praça do Povo in Funchal (watch the action live on our Live Webcam).
Later that evening, at 19:00, the official departure ceremony will be held on the podium at Avenida Arriaga, the historic site where it all began (watch it live on the Ritz Webcam).
This is a fantastic opportunity for automobile enthusiasts to closely observe the vehicles and interact with the drivers and co-drivers taking part in the event.

A highlight of this year's event is the presence of Andrea Aghini as the guest driver of Rally Legend 2023. The renowned Italian driver will be accompanied by his skilled co-pilot, Massimiliano Cerrai. Together, they will rev up the excitement by bringing a magnificent Lancia Delta HF Integrale. Notable participants also include Bernardo Sousa, who will compete in a Ford Fiesta S2000, and Paolo Diana, making his debut in Madeira with his FIAT 131. This event features a number of prominent figures in regional motorsport, including Rui Conceição with the Ford Escort Cosworth, Rui Pinto with the Ford Focus WRC, Gil Freitas with the Subaru Impreza WRC, Rui Fernandes with the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6, Cláudio Nóbrega with the Nissan Datsun, and José Jarimba with the Toyota Starlet, among several others who are known for adding excitement to rallies in the region.
