Santana is the most populated parish in the municipality, and it is where most of the local events take place, namely ’24 horas a bailar’, an annual event, where folklore groups from all over the island and other countries dance during 24 hours. Santana Gastronomic Exhibit, Festa dos Compadres.
Santana village is popular for the traditional Madeiran houses with their typical triangular roofs covered with straw. Another tourist attraction is Madeira’s Theme Park, which invites visitors to discover or rediscover the culture of the archipelago.
