This beach complex in the old part of town (Zona velha), next to São Tiago Fortress, is known for its beautiful waters and vast array of amenities including a small pebble beach, sun beds, shades, a snack bar, and changing rooms – a wonderful spot to soak up the warm sun rays and a perfect getaway from all the noise and hustle of the city.
Cruise ships sail in and out, fireworks light up the sky in June and December, and live concerts like the Aleste Musical Festival in May can be seen from here.
Hours of operation: Every day from 08:30 to 20:00 (Summer) and 09:30 to 17:30 (Winter)
