Enjoy one of the most breathtaking panoramic views over Câmara de Lobos, Funchal, and the south eastern coast of Madeira Island, Portugal from this live streaming HD webcam provided by Madeira-web and hosted by the Restaurante Miradouro Cruz da Caldeira.
This camera feed also shows vast typical terraced lands with vineyards, banana plantations and other tropical fruits, as well as some of the best close-up views of the picturesque bay of Câmara de Lobos, the Praia Formosa beach and Centromar, the land in Santa Rita where the new Central Hospital of Madeira (HCM) is being built, including Funchal bay, Ponta do Garajau, and back to Câmara de Lobos to the viewpoint Pico da Torre.
The excavation for the new Madeira Central Hospital (HCM) in Santa Rita began in early May 2021, covering an area of 172,000 square metres and costing more than 340 million euros. The new infrastructure is expected to be completed in 2024 and will replace two existing hospitals in the region (Hospital Nélio Mendonça and Hospital dos Marmeleiros).
This is also a great spot to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks display, as well as the Atlantic Festival fireworks competition in June, and the Festival of Saint Peter (São Pedro) at Câmara de Lobos Bay at midnight.
