Commonly known as the ‘Swallows’, C.F Andorinha the team was formed on the 6th May 1925 and plays on a small synthetic pitched stadium in Santo António in Funchal, which is frequently used by C.S Marítimo for its youth matches.

The clubs fortunes changed when it was promoted to the second division; however, it was relegated in the same season. Although disappointed the team saw its earlier promotion as a massive achievement as they were competing against mainland Portuguese teams.

The club is very proud of its heritage and former players include Cristiano Ronaldo who played for them when he was aged 8 and 9 and the Brazilian forward, Ricardo Santos.

The club currently promotes athletics and badminton as its additional sporting activities, enjoying considerable success on the badminton court.
