Emanuel Pombo is a Madeiran born mountain biker commonly regarded as the most successful Portuguese mountain bike rider with nine National Championship medals to his name and a succession of results in worldwide competitions. His twin passions are cycling- very fast, and the environment. As such, he has stated that he enjoys travelling to new places, meeting people and experiencing and understanding new cultures.

Deciding to try something new, he decided to switch disciplines from Downhill to Enduro and won the TransMadeira Enduro in 2016. He currently represents Liberty/ciclomadeira and was the winner of the National Enduro Cup in 2016 and 2017, the National Downhill Cup in 2016 and the Maxxis Cup International in 2010. He has also been voted Sports Personality of the year at the Madeira ACM Cycling Gala on numerous occasions.
