Marcos André Sousa da Silva Freitas, born on the 8th of April 1988, is a Madeiran professional table tennis player, who first competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, winning bronze in the men’s doubles at the European Championships with his partner, Tiago Apolónia. In 2011 he won a gold medal at the Table Tennis European Championships - Gdansk/Sopot, in the men’s doubles with Andriej Gaćina. He was also part of the Portuguese team in the London Olympics in 2012. Over the last couple of years, he has won further gold and silver medals and reached the quarterfinals in the 2016 Rio Olympics and at the European Championships in Alicante, Spain in 2018.

He is renowned for his offensive; middle distance playing style and was ranked 4th in the world in September 2018.
